Critique Club Breview
Color Saturation and Hue: colors are realistic, saturation is not overly done, and hues appear accurate for the subject.
Focus and depth of field: focus is tack sharp and depth of field is quite deep, which is well suited to the subject.
Brightness and contrast: both are well done, but dynamic range seems a tiny bit short. This results in a burned out area around the sun.
There is also a tiny bit of lens flare observable in the middle of the beach near the bend in the stream.
Subjective: this is an excellent image, as noted by the top three finish. I feel like I can almost feel the granularity of the sand. The use of a slow shutter speed adds to the image. Though I have to admit I do not associate the sea shore with silence. Still, excellent work, and congratulations on a well deserved ribbon. |
