Well...I liked it. It does show up poorly on dark monitors--the highlights are blown on any monitor. Still learning how to post-process. But I think this failed in the challenge because voters were looking for a more definite implied line.

If I get a chance to re-shoot, I'll use a polarizing filter and take more care to develop the details in the dark areas. I imagine this location would look good in the Spring, as well. Nature is the limitation here--this is a bog and it is rapidly deteriorating due to human traffic. Before long, it will probably be deforested--just a muddy spot with lots of ferns.

I'm sorry, I just don't see many implied lines in this photograph. Plenty of actual lines, in the trees. However, the trees themselves don't give any sense of implicated line.. (such as they would if they were naturally or artifically lined up). Your exposure is also a touch dark and focus a touch off.

Beautiful, but picture quality is a little lacking.....
