 From the Los Angeles National Cemetery. The cemetery was established in 1889 and is now full, with the only new interments being family members of those already buried here.

The spouses (almost exclusively wives) can be buried with the military member in the same plot. This is one such case. On the other side of this stone is the name of the military member - he was a captain in the Army in World War I:

Lovely composition, love the black and white, just find the white patches at the top of the scene a little distracting, I feel that this could have been cropped out as it adds no value to the photograph.
