Greetings from the Critique Club
Hey Ken...I know this is a bewlow average shot from you and I can see you kicking yourself for not doing somethings with it. I understand why you did submit it though---its a very unique image in this challenge and the title is very appropriate.

The composition is well done, using good diagonals. The focal point is the line of fishermen, but it unfortunately is out of focus. The image seems to have suffered from slight camera shake which really detracts from the shot. If you could have found a more interesting angle to express your idea, it may have scored higher.

As far as this photo itself...what i see you doing to make it better is to crop out all the way from the right until the cars are out of the shot. Losing a couple more of the fishermen is worth the crop to me. Also, an aggresive application of USM would have made it a sharper image.

Everyone gets these shots occasionally so just move on and keep submitting :).

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to PM me.

Thanks,
Lee

The perspective would be difficult, but I would try to get the background trucks out of the frame, and possible clone out the yellow pole. This one would benefit from a tripod or quicker shutter as there is a bit too much softness. Nice to see a creative interpretation of the theme.

Your title is great - really adds layers to the image.

Good idea. Poor image quality, and the trucks are distracting.
