CC:Hello BAMartin
Fits The Challenge-Yes.

Composition-Good. My personal taste would of liked less on the top.

Background-Bricks, very nice, good rich color, interesting texture.

Digital Processing-It's a bit bright but I'll admit it could be my monitor. The focus is a little soft in both the near and far ground.

My Opinion-I think cropping out the full roof would of helped the eye focus more on the red brick and garage doors. It's a very busy picture, roof, brick, white doors, tree, leaves, shadows. The eye can't find anywhere to land. The brick would of been the spot and by cropping both the top and bottom it would of made the viewer focus on the brick alone.
I hope that long sentence makes some sense and helpful. If you have any other questions please contact me any time.

Reminds me of morning eyelids prior to coffee invigoration. The easy on the eyes tones jive well. I like your choice of tree lines and shadows to break up the rectangular nature of the shot. The dead leaves at the bottom add a pleasant softening touch to the chunky nature of the bricks. The bits of gray shingles and eaves shadow cap off the photo nicely. A fairly worthy shot deeming additional positive remarks.

I see the squres, however I find the piccture too busy (trees, branhces, shadows), even though it's supposed to help depict something old. Did you try it in black and white. Might add a special touch. Good luck. Jacko.

I want to know how they got a car in that one garage with the tree growing there?. It must have been "unused" for quite some time. This is a really nice photo. I started to say the closed door was out of focus a little, but after looking closer I think it's just the shadows that make it look that way. Nicely done.

Technical: Pretty faultless
Meets challenge: Mostly! :-)
Overall impression: Technically good, but not too sure aesthetically. 7

Good choice of subject. However, I don't particularly care for bright sunlight in photos, and would if photographing in different light situations would create a more interesting photo.

Good picture quality. The bricks look new but the door looks old. I really dont get a square feeling from this because the one door up, one door down vibe. You might have achieved a better image by just shooting one door.
