i get that birds come from eggs so there is a correlation there, but the egg seems to be more the central subject than the feather, in a challenge about feathers. every time i look at this, my eye is drawn to the egg and the feather blends into the background too much.
while i can understand a "light and fluffy" feather entry being soft, it feels rather "out of focus" here given the theme.
**Edit**
After a full and complete pass of the full-size images, this is getting a bump in score. I still feel that my eye is drawn to the egg and that the feather is rather on the soft side for my personal preference, but it's still a better shot than many other entries in the challenge. |

| Nice idea - they go together in more than one way. The background looks funny and blotchy, but the tones are great. |

| For some reason, the egg looks more flat like a pebble. Still the juxtaposition of textures and similar colors, work really well here. |
