Critique Club Critique:
Composition/Content: The central point of focus, the square, looks broken and dirty and is not very attractive. The image is busy with the background items distracting from the subject. It might have been better to back up and show what the lock looks like and its relationship to the square.
Camera Work/Technical: Focus is a little soft even on the main subject. Exposure is good with good color.
Overall Opinion: The subject is an interesting subject but not at the angle it is currently captured. A slightly different composition with more of the lock in the foreground and a spot focus on the square would blur the background more, make the square sharper, and would better show the square's relationship to the lock. |

| Very interesting photo. It is very colorful and clear. I don't think, however, that this is a good photo to portray the concept of squares. |

| I think you needed to be a bit closer to make the square a little bigger, and maybe reduce the ammount of clutter in the background. Also a lilttle bit of sharpen in post processing would have brought it back into focus. Otherwise the composition is good. |

| This looks like a really interesting scene. But I cannot tell what the square is. Perhaps its just my lack "lock" knowledge. I'd like to see more shots of this place. It looks ripe for interesting photograghs. |

| Can't really tell what this is. Is it a navigational lock and dam? I see the many squares was just trying to figure out what the photo was of. Focus a little soft for me, making it hard to see what it is. The background is cluttered and distracting. Probably would help if maybe you had pulled back and showed a little more of it. Anxious to find out about this one. |
