 I took this shot on the night of the lunar eclipse. Clouds were passing in front of the moon and I wanted to get a shot of the lit-up clouds, so I had to necessarily over-expose the moon. I expected the moon to be completely featureless but was surprised to see the eclipse shadow still visible when I looked at the raw photo. I don't know that this shot can truly be characterized as "bizarre" but perhaps fits that part of the challenge description that reads, "Photograph something that makes you.... wonder in amazement."

Adjustments: curves, white balance, size reduction, and USM. I wanted to clone the small green reflection and the blue ring around the moon, but no spot editing is allowed!

What settings on your camera do you use to take such a picture. I tried but my shots all came out blurry. Great shot.

I tried to get this shot the night after the eclipse but didn't succeed. Your moon is overexposed but it was worth it to get the nice halo. I think a little crop off the left would work. I think this image would still work being centered. Good job.

Nice blues and rust colors. Eclipses are so much more strange in person than on photo. Your photo has depth thanks to the chance clouds exposing a weird pin-wheel type movement. I like it a lot.
