I'm sure others have pointed this out, but maybe the horizon/pier would work better along a line of thirds. Maybe?
I have a feeling this lighthouse is on another pic in this very challenge. |

Nice idea and image although it looks a bit flat in the lighting and the image is small

Very simple composition but effective with its message. I think it would have looked better if you applied the rule of thirds horizontally as the breakwater seems quite long. |

Aaah, The Portland Lighthouse in Chicago. I love the panoramic crop on this. The placement is good. The sky has just a little more grain in it than I like in my sky and the color could use just a slight boost i think to give the sky and the red roof a little more punch. (that's a personal preference thing). Over-all, a great shot...
