Stopped by the Good Will Store and picked up a couple cheap coffee cups, then the grocery store to get some orange jello. Experimented with food coloring to get something close to coffee color. I let it set up, and then I took out a hammer. When I imagined this shot the cup was broken but the jello remained intact. This shot was my first attempt and the jello just broke apart with the cup. So, I soaked my backup cup in warm water before breaking it -- hoping the jello would separate from the cup easier. But it turned the whole thing to mush. Oh, well. This one didn't turn out too bad.

Wow, that's really cool! It looks like the coffee (liquid) sheared apart (as a solid) - very surreal!

I wonder if putting a little oil on the inside of the cup before the jello would do what you wanted. Regardless, this was pretty cool =)

I really like how unique this is. Very creative, especially with the addition of the "broken" background/table. The texture definitely helps the feel of the image.

Really fine counter-intuitive surrealistic shock. Ice coffee. The background is nicely harmonious. Good title.
