 Thanks for the comments. A mysterious and unexpected mass of warm air sat one early morning over the coast, resulting in soup. Low tide, the channels are outlined by a surplus of algae, likely caused by polluted storm drain runoff feeding an underground stream, some of which flows under our house. This is something the town should've taken care of, says the EPA, who fined the town to bits over it, crippling the town's budget and ensuring my offspring receive substandard education and general quality of life. Years from now, though, they will pop their 'gansetts and laugh with their equally illiterate colleagues on the way home from the not-yet-built drinking water bottling plant down the street. Of course they will be walking home to a different house, as we will have lost this one during the town's wide-sweeping bottling plant eminent domain program. Then I flipped it over. I hope this explanation is satisfactory, Mark.

Thank you for utilizing the "Photographer's Comments" to enlighten us as to what the heck this is. I was one of your sevens but apparently too lazy to comment on an image I found both disorienting and engaging. Given your "Photographer's Comments" perhaps you can relate.

This image really struck me as interesting. Great entry for the challenge, the light blue throughout the image really held it all together for me.

I would think most voters scores are made up of 2 parts, the first being for image quality and the second being for how well it connects to the challenge, IMHO this image misses out in both. I hope when you look at other images presented here that you get a sense of why this may be, if not, then I (or others) am happy to discuss after the challenge is over.
