This is my first attempt at macro photography. I have to say it’s a lot harder then I thought it would be. Shot this bug at 2 ½ life size. I was always fascinated with bugs when I was a kid now looking at them thru a macro lenses even makes them more fascinating.

Too many depth of field problems distracting from the subject.

Unfortuneately not crisp enough to be effective.

what a cool picture and great colors too bad it is out of focus

looks like a bizarre nature candidate - unfortunately very little focus depth

Poor focus and clarity. Good colors and interesting subject.

Focus is off, DOF is good.

somewhat out of focus.

The colors here are phenomenal! The neons purples and yellows and theh green--just marvelous...and what an interesting subject matter! I just wish it had been more in focus.

I think this shot could have been really interesting. Keep the foreground and background blurred ... but it definitely needs to be much sharper on the bug itself.

it's just too blurry. a faster shutter speed helps when you are taking macros :)
if it were sharper, ZI'm sure it would be a great photo

The colors are very nice, but it appears to be a little out of focus. That's something that's giving me some problems, too. Here's hoping we can both improve in that area. :)

This is out of focus... I can make out what looks like an eye, and some legs.

Just oof, shame he looks great!

Cool subject and a great idea, but the fact that it's so far out of focus is going to hurt in the voting.

Is this underwater? It looks a little out of focus on the subject.
11/02/2004 08:38:22 PM
Too bad this is blurry. Nice colors.
11/02/2004 05:50:15 AM
out of focus

Great subject. Just a little out of focus tho
11/02/2004 12:17:14 AM
too out of focus for a macro of this nature IMO.
11/01/2004 04:55:51 PM
It looks a bit out of focus or it could be motion blur. What kind of critter is this?
11/01/2004 08:52:20 AM
Focus is a bit soft for a macro.
11/01/2004 12:53:36 AM
colorful and perhaps interesting, but not in focus
11/01/2004 12:43:21 AM
4. Subject is soft and out of focus. Can't really tell what it is.
