 wow - so much sensor dust at f22.
Anyway, I had several ideas for this but as usual, limited time.
Packed 3 hard boiled eggs for my breakfast and headed out with no intention to use them for a challenge. . FOund an old feather duster at that was falling apart so these came off without effort. Played around with the camera a bit but eventually used a razor to cut the shell of the egg so I could have 2 somewhat even halves. taped the feathers to a white backdrop with white tape and attempted to make it look ... well, as if something strange was happening. I removed the shadows from the feathers using curves and masks. Seemed too plain so I added a texture from texturemate.com .. I absolutely could have shot my own texture but as always, short on time and I figured any somewhat continuous subtle texture would work to make it look old-time-book like. The treatment also gives it a drawn/printed feeling that I like as well.
