From all info I can find I guess that this is windmill D, the middle one of a row of three windmills. I photographed them earlier and that photo is in my portofolio. Today I just wanted to check out my 70-200 VR lens. :)

Build around 1634.

Shot it on the last day of the challenge. We had a lot of bad weather lately and I only got the camera 1.5 weeks ago. Today was very dull as well, not a lot of contrast, a very boring sky etc.

Captured as NEF, a bit of curves or exposure compensation and whitebalance editing in Capture 4.1. Sent it to Photoshop as 8 bit TIFF and used FM Chroma Noise Reduction, FM Digital Velvia (about setting 4) and USM in Lab Mode.

I have seen some stunning pictures from this location. Unfortunately I find yours rather average. The light is very flat, the crop is extremely tight, and the wing of the front mill is blocking the view on the other one. Sorry. Exetp from the light, you could have improved it by just choosing a slightly different viewpoint.

Lovely shot. Interesting subject. I wish the main station wouldn't block the secondary one. nicely done. Upgrading from 7 to 8.

I think your modest editing is something to be commended. There are enough details to make this interesting and the composition is adequate.

nice photo....would like to see it a bit warmer in tone...so the bronze and yellows of the ground cover is brighter...also if the blades of the front mill were turned to a more vertical position would allow you to fully see the further windmill completely. Still a great shot that brought back memories of when I lived in Holland in Nieuwegein...and our trips up along the polder farms in the north...

The sky is quite bland. Well composed otherwise and they are lovely windmills.
