Thank you all for the comments. I agree that this was reliance on someone else's art. After all it is a neon sign that someone else put up. I felt it really captured the essence of the challenge; music, and because I don't have my own studio, that it would make a good subject. unfortunately, after it was pointed out, I realized that it really did look like a photoshop job, but i had intentionally tried to black the background by underexposing the wall which was very distracting.

I like finding subjects that occur naturally, but already in my two weeks of watching the posts, realize that if I really want to expand on my personal horizons that a studio of some kind is really needed to come up with and set up some shots that just can't be found in the natural world. This excites me, cuz I will have to get creative just to find the room, get it ready for sessions and prepare/gather the lighting that I can use.

Very happy with the score for my first post and so little outside effort that I actually had to put in. (Larus, this actually was the second shot of two that I took. The LCD really made it easy to get what I was looking for with only a few attempts ;-) )

Very hard to capture (I am positive I couldn´t have done it anyway without SEVERAL trials and error) and it´s a good idea but to me it looks more like you were drawing this in photoshop more than a photo, it´s got that kind of "feel" to it IMO. I gave it a 7.
