 One of the very first few images taken with my new dSLR. Taken at night in front of our building. Brightened through levels, colours adjusted, cropped, cloned out some minor distracting elements, sharpened.

Just to answer some of the questions: This image was not "overprocessed". It was simply taken at night in very heavy fog. I did some selective sharpening, so some parts may seem "neatimaged" as they were left "foggy" - I do not ever use Neat Image. I do not like the program.

I know it looks surreal or "fake" as some of you suggested, but that's exactly what I was after. The backlit trees looks very magical at night through the fog.

Anyway, thank you to all. I will learn from it.

Fantasy Land :) I love the shot but it seems overly post-processed. I think I would like the sisters a little more off center too. This would be great as a fairy tail photo. I can see it with a white unicorn in the background. 8

Artisitc. Not that other photos aren't art, but this one is different. I like it a lot. I like the shape of the tree, the placement of the sun(?) and what you did to the colors. Nice lighting. One of several 10's. Congrats!

Very magical and powerful centering helps this to be really special. The streetlamp(?) - normally a real pain in the arse - makes the shot. It looks quite heavily treated, which I'm aware of too much and even has that NeatImage look to it.

But it's memorable and should be up there at the top.

I'll be happy to know how you proccesed this one. The background light/sun is not coherent with the left shadow at tree branches. Anyway really cool overall effect. 8

should be included as an illustration in a book of fairy tales. feels very dave mckean. i like the haziness, and the light from behind really adds a unique dimension to the picture. you certainly have a good eye for this sort of stuff, so well done! 9.

Great photograph. I wish I had the skills to make a photograph like this. Everything I enter never goes beyond basic editing because of my lack of skill. I would love for you to post in a forum [if possible] after the challenge is over, showing step-by-step how you achieved this. It would help me a lot. Great job!
