"Turning Four" - A DAY LIKE NO OTHER

The greatest poem ever known
Is one all poets have outgrown:
The poetry, innate, untold,
Of being only four years old.

Christopher Morley, To a Child

A very moving set and sequence of life nourishing activity. Makes me regret my lack of attention way back when.

You've really tapped into the fountain of youth here. Done in such a sensitive way, capturing all those pure moments. It is hard to pick any one and not have it as a favourite. I often wonder when I see collections like this, where does the magic go when we grow up. Perhaps we internalise it or shroud it with an intellectual veil of compromised understanding, forgetting the unselfconscious now that these children express so freely. A beautifully celebratory piece, and for me, a slight sense of lamentation as inferred by Morley's poem. Children are the wonder of the world, they compel us back to the joy, as you have reminded me. Well done Mariuca.

brilliant immersive candid photography. I fear you didn't enjoy the party because you must have put everything into capturing it.

Mariuca,

Beautiful series and I love this essay in b&w. You've let us into her world and by doing so enriched our own. Those who appreciate simple pleasures are rewarded tenfold. Keep that child in your eyes.

Cherish these photographs and don't loose them. This is a timeless collection that can't be caught again. Print them, create a handmade book.

Thank you
