The picture's OK, but the girl doesn't look very happy at all. Is that what the festival is about? Pouting? Technically a decent picture but the subject isn't cooperating. |

Very well taken. technically perfect, just not very interesting due to the expressionless face. Still, bumping up for technical merit. |

It doesn't look like your model is resonating with the face painting! Great capture of that emotion. This is a perfect example of the expression, "If looks could kill ..." Maybe I'm misinterpreting. I have a friend who would say from time to time, "I sometimes have to remind my face I'm having a good time." Maybe that's all that's going on here. Still, nice emotive capture. |

Oh those eyes tell a story...
Great composition and subject for this challenge.
Hope you don't mind me bumping this up a notch ((10)). |

Skin tones appear a little off in this one. Also seems a little overexposed maybe. Did you use an on board flash? Not bad composition...

nice picture, great expression but in my opinion it seems to be missing something - perhaps it would be better with a telephone pole somewhere in the upper-right area of the photo ;) |

Sweet, but (don't kill me) I think that this is more of a family picture then a Challenge picture. |

6. It's a good photo. Focus and capture are good. Overall, though, the subject matter doesn't call out to me. She seems rather bored, too. |

My first thought was "oh my god what's happened to that kid's hand?" before I realised it must be someone else's. I think this isn't perhaps the best time to take a picture of this cutey at her best - the sunburn pink doesn't do anything for her and her expression is no doubt one of concentration and staying still to be painted but I bet she looks more beautiful when she's smiling. The red material and uneven background doesn't add anything either. Not an instrically bad picture but one that likely holds more interest for those who know her than for strangers. |

Wonderful people study; her eyes are captured so intensely. The paints add a lively, crisp accent that I really like. |
