Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Children make great photo subject :) I think this is also a nice choice of a 'cliche' subject for this challenge as well.
I believe the 'essence' of this challenge topic of 'cliche' was more than just to create a photograph of a common subject. In order to be successful in this challenge, you needed to create a better than average photo of your common subject... Your subject needed to be photographed in some unique way that sets it apart from your common images. This particular photo doesn't seem to have any extraordinary elements to set it apart from other standard 'child' photos. Maybe trying some extreme camera angles and natural light sources would help improve the overall impact of the shot :)

| This is perhaps a little too much like a "home" shot than a professionally taken shot. The colours are a little dark and the image is cropped a little too much on the left and bottom edges. |
