A visit from the Critique Club :)
I think this is an interesting before and after shot. Not something I would think of right away.
I think composition could be improved a little, you cut off the left and left space on the right. I would probably crop the photo so that both sides cut off a little of the ball. Also, the amount of rubber bands on the right is insufficient. I would add more to cover up that empty space.
I have mixed feelings on the depth of field scenario you have chosen. On one hand I think it might be better with all rubber bands in the foreground in focus. On the other hand, I don't believe every part of the photo has to be in focus all of the time so I don't know how to make the recommendation here.
Overall exposure is great I wouldn't change a thing. |

Nice use of lighting to show texture, the mat works well with the composition.
my only critsism is the join in the background, which I find a little distracting. |

Interesting idea. I like the juxtaposition of extreme order against extreme disorder. It's composed about as well as I think it could be, and the lighting and DOF are great. |

Great macro shot. The focus is great. Have you ever opened up a golf ball? I think this is what they look like. Good luck! |

Great idea. Well taken photo. Wish you would've used a backdrop that was a little more contrasting to the rubber bands to make them stand out a bit more - Inspzil |
