 double exposure in camera; some global adjustments in LR such as highlights, shadows, color, clarity.
Minimal crop in the top part.

These are kimono fabrics hung to dry over a river in Tokyo.
Actually it is an once yearly event to remember the tradition of this neighbourhood where fabrics where dyed and then washed in the river up to 1950s. These days the displayed fabrics aren't washed in the river and don't need to dry. It is just a very colourful event!

the swaths have abstract patterns but are also themselves used as part of an abstract pattern. randomness can be abstract but so can orderliness. anything that removes the subject and leaves only the motion of seeing.
