abstraction can turn the visual to aural. patterns and textures become rhythms, colors and shapes become melodies. it looks like you might have simplified or at least intensified the color of the scene. that and the framing nudge us to see the scape more abstractly. |

There was so much possibility to this one, but it just ends up being overdone, imo. I love the idea of the color, and reflections are something of which I'm very fond. However, the extreme sharpening of this, I think just ends up emphasizing what this is and takes away the mystery it could have. Plus (sorry...!) it's actually a little painful that way (I'm voting with a headache, so it does seem like it's shouting a tad) With softer sharpening and softer colors, I think this could have been stunning. 5 as is. But I think it could have gone as high as an 8 if processed in a different way. |

Had the crop been of the reflection alone, it would be a cool abstract in my opinion. But, it's just not abstract the way it is. Nevertheless, good luck in the challenge! |
