Soft focus from depth of field on the front pieces doesn't add much to me... I like the "hand out of the darkness"... The knight is being moved, it only has one square it can go to (kb3), so I'm not sure I see the "indecision" here...But that's just me, and what do I know? :) |

Good lighting, understandable dof, and on topic. |

Could have scored it higher if the depth-of-field had shown all the pieces in sharper focus. |

Good idea, but I think it would help to have some reference to the time spent deciding- a calendar, dust on the pieces, etc. Otherwise, you could just as easily be depicting an immediate decision (there's only one move that knight can make, after all). |

You must be winning I see no opponent on your side of the board. Good photo. |

Love the deep colors, dof, hand out of black, a technically wonderful shot. However no indecision. I'm not trying to be a stickler, but there is not even a choice. The only place to move that Knight is to f3. So the title is appropriate.
Great image... |

Sorry to be a nit-picker, but if that Knight is being moved from it's starting square, there isn't any indecion about where it can go... but who cares? I like the idea - I wonder if showing more of the board or having it a little tilted would add a little drama - to make the viewer feel some of the worry of the indecision of the potential move. |

I think I would understand this more if the hand was hovering over the knight and not holding it. As it is, I can't tell what the options are. Still, the clarity and the lighting are excellent and I like the way the hand just appears. 7 |

Two pawns and the 3 left chess pieces are a little blurry. 7 |

Besides the point that from this position the knight only has one square to move to, the dof really needed to be crisper throughout the frame. |
