I'm guessing there will be a large amount of purple in the challenge gallery... *rolleyes*
But, I had to put a little in there myself. *grin*
It's the only thing I know about Prince. "Purple Rain"... but, I've never watched it. *sigh*
Sorry!
I do know Julia Roberts in "Pretty Woman"...in the bubble bath with headphones on (well... not actually... personally) and when Richard Gere comes in while she's singing to a Prince's song, she says, "Don't ya just love Prince?"
He replies, "More than life itself".
Charming.
Get it? Prince Charming?
*clears throat* Okay... here's a link:
Julia Roberts... Prince
Oh... ok. I agree. That was really lame. But, "Pretty Woman" is one of my top three movies.
Sorry (again).
But... I really love that movie. It's about a whore... and it teaches us so much about... what to do in life. *contented sigh*
Ok. Back to "it's all about me and my image".
Sorry. Got distracted. ;)
Googled and saw the Color Purple cast's tribute to him and put that on the wall.
Do you think Hubby will be angry when he sees "PRINCE" painted on the outside of our house?
Oh. You do? Arg. Dang.
Anybody know how to get paint off of brick??
This's all I can come up with. And... the bummer of it for me is that when I view the gallery... I won't have a clue about the images' meanings, I'm sure.
Oh well.
Some star I've heard of will die eventually, I'm sure. *rolleyes*
I don't mean it in a bad way... just take it as inevitability. That's the way I meant it.
We should have done a tribute to Whitney Houston.
I know her music. What talent!
Or... Robin Williams. Now THERE was a guy! That would have been a fun challenge topic too.
*sigh*
Anyway, this was going to be just one image. I had the guitar in front of the wall outside... and the microphone on a stool next to the guitar.
But, I just never liked the stool... for some reason unknown to me. So, I took it out (in PS-- I'd already gotten everything else done to much to want to start over... and sun had hit the brick wall and I'd have to wait until evening to shoot again. I'm not a very patient person. *sigh*) by cloning bricks and cement on top.
Then, shot the microphone separately since the angle of it on the stool wasn't right.
So... I have no idea how this will compete.
So be it.
*clicks "Upload" and waits for the next challenge topic to arrive*
Dang. Those bricks took up a bunch of my allotted 700KB. So... I had to reduce the size... and the sharpness to make it fit. Oh well.

Beautiful tribute. I vote fairly. In my heart I know it takes time and effort to enter these contests. |
