Its a shame, because this would be an unquestionable shoe-in for the wind challenge blue, it is a genuinely terrific image. |

Nice values. Other than the trees, especially the one in the foreground, everything else seems so still. Interesting contrast of all the strong vertical images and then the movement of the trees. It works nicely for me. |

Nice shot, this is very well composed, although I would like to see the whole tree. |

It's so cool that you were able to find an excellent subject like this that fits the challenge so perfectly. And your shot came out great. The B&W works really well to accentuate the shape of the tree. Great job. |

Very good shot and excellent impression of that kind of weather, but I doubt you'll find one in Blighty (unless Global Warming really kicks in sooner than later). Excellent tones and compo, but I feel that just ducking to the left and a touch lower would have left the bandstand clear of the tree. |

Well framed, atmospheric photo. Works well in B&W, in colour would have lost the bleakness and cold feeling. Good Luck! |

Great feeling of movement...I wonder if you'd taken the shot from lower down whether you could have really framed the bandstand and the two other trees? |

What an odd looking tree... Does it grow like this or were you just out in some really crazy weather? Anyway an interesting shot, not quite as exciting as others in this challenge but I bet you will be in the top 15%. |

nice one Ben, makes me homesick! I have to give it a 1 because of the clear move away from pure photography with the inclusion of the border.
j/k - wonderful image (that really does make me homesick) deserves to do very well - 9, would be a 10 if I could shake off the urge to see just a little more of the image on the right |

I like the toning, it adds a timeless quality to the image and could easily have been taken any time in the last century. The foreground tree makes an excellent leading line and frame for the rest of the elements, and clearly shows a sense of wind as indicated by the title. The path also leads the eye nicely through the image. Even the small structure in the far background adds an interesting element. A very engaging image. |
