I had hoped this shot would have made it to the top 3.... |

Another close call to ribbon-dom.
Many thought that I got the idea from scalvert for this shot, which is partly true:
But it was also inspired by one of my previous submissions done back with my s602z that hadn't worked out as nice as I would have liked:
What I really wanted was to have the sign and mousetrap, but I also wanted to have one of my cats in the background for effect. But, both our kitties love cheese and found the trap VERY interesting since I had caught a mouse with it a few weeks back. This was the best I could with the time and resources I had.
Thanks for all the comments and votes. This was a fun and silly shoot. |

Looks like you got your wish, in both score and placement, perhaps unlike the (unseen) subject of your photo. Great job -- we need more humorous shots around here.
But ... no cat would tolerate a secretary with such shoddy penmanship long enough to finish that sign.

Funny. The archway, which I presume you cut, is kind off. The shot is good though. I think this is one of those instances when a centered subject is actually more deisrable. |

Like the humour, (and the spelling) well exposed. |

Minor deductions for the odd-shaped hole and the the blob that represents your cheese. Let's see... that brings your score down to a 10. Too funny! My pick for the blue. |

Challenge link: strong.
Image critique: HaHaaa - but will it work? Will he go or will he stay?
Solid, creative, cute idea. Like it muchly (border is too heavy though). :D
Out-of-challenge appeal: yes - it's funny. |
