The setup for this photo is very simple as you can imagine. I turned the fan on and expected much higher wind, but as you can see it is really small so it could hardly move my hair. Finally I had to use some water on my hair to put it backwards and create the effect ;-)

Regarding the processing, I encourage any of you to try this on some of your photos. The technique is really simple and it can be done on an easy way. The results normally are quite interesting. You can do this effect in just a few minutes

It is not so easy to explain in words, but you can go in youtube and search for "disintegration effect photoshop". You will find great tutorials about this technique

I like the way you handled this, the dramatic PP before you turned on the fan. For some crazy reason it reminds me of Norman Rockwell, what he might be doing if he found himself amongst us here at DPC. Good work.
