Dont kick yourself so hard This is one of the best shots I'd say out of portraits like these! This one is not your ordinary one either. It has quite a bit of things in it moving the eye around it but keeping the focus in the middle and thats how it should be.. I think its cute and probably everyone has a photo in album of themselves or kids when they are bearskin. Times are different, but the way this shot is set up its so innocent. Its not giving the intire attention to the baby's nude and thats what I would rather see. Cool job and shes a real beauty but you must know that.... |

Welp, You learn something every day.
In this challenge, I learned that a cluttered studio setup is murder.
I agree with everyone that the baby's connection to the teddy bear was tenuous.. I didn't really think of that before submitting. Thanks.
I know what to do next time.
Still, and I have to say this to vent..
This shot got beat out by some *PRETTY CRAPPY* photographs.. it just makes me boggle. I thought I had quite a decent shot here, but I guess boring, out of focus, over and underexposed nature shots mean something.
Another lesson learned. (not that I'm applying it. I hate taking nature shots and always will. lol).

Wonderful job in lighting and set up. I think I would have preferred just the baby and cropped off the right side with the stuffed animal, or brought the animal closer into the frame with the baby. They appear too disconnected to me. Great touch with the cotton!! |

Ah Jeez, using a cute baby and a teddy bear! No fair. This is a beautiful shot, well composed, good choice of all white with pink baby (who is showing a little attitude). Good job. |

Excellent portrait. I like the pink baby in all that white. |

Nice idea. For this to work effectively, you could think about brightening the image and using selective blur to mystify the effect a bit. 5 |

Good idea, but the composition doesn't appeal. The eye passes the baby and gets fixed on the teddy bear. Should be vice versa, don't you think? |

Very cute - nice lighting, great expression on the baby. Would have liked to have seen a closer connection between the baby and the bear. Not sure I like the cotton balls (?) piled up. Good luck! |
