Hello from the critique club
An interesting image that meets the challenge well.
This is a fairly ordinary balanced scene that is lifted and made more special by the lovely light. That same light, however, is also a hindrance in the way it dominates and overpowers the lovely water feature. It’s rather a shame your position hadn’t been such that you could have removed it from the scene and made more of that water feature by moving your camera to include more of the right of the frame but I can see from this position that wouldn’t have made for a very effective composition. It’s a pleasing combination of colour against a near-mono water and sky sandwich that serves to emphasise the buildings and their shapes well. |
