 Fortunately I had the chance to take some long exposures at the very last available evening. There was some thinking about the proper image and finally quite a lot of post processing in order to achieve an ambiguous perspective.
I have seen many great images of this style - rocks and "foggy" water - so I don't expect an outstanding score. My guess is somewhere around 6.

The coordinates of the location are:
40° 43' 39.40" N, 24° 1' 1.72" E

So there are not actually any islands so close over there :)
The "islands" seen at the upper right side, are small sized rocks just at the line "Where Sea Meets Shore"

I really like this one, (perhaps the killer central fog was toxic for some folks- because it could have easily been top 3).

Hello from the critique club

An appealing image that meets the challenge

Your apt title says it all. There is a lovely mystical quality to this dream-like image where slowly a beautiful mermaid will magically appear. I like the near-abstractness of it all where land merges into mist/sea/sky almost seamlessly with sufficient separation from the band of blue to make the clouds seem like a reflection of the water. Well done in achieving a higher score than you anticipated and for your HM Paschalis.

Another image where an entire fantasy novel could be written - reminds me of the classic computer game "Myst". Rating changed from 7 to 8.
