 The DOF is intentional in this shot. I wanted the subject to be the nib with everything else in varying degrees of focus. I'll probably be crucified for doing it, but .....

How disappointing that this picture didn't finish at least top 10. I think it's excellent as is. Shallow DOF and all. I saw another pen shot that finished a bit higher than this one and remembered yours so I came to look for it. The voters did not do this justice at all.

Oh dear, this one is will surely beat my pen photo :-)
Great concept, very well executed. Only complaint is that the DOF is a bit too shallow. Would have been even better with the whole pen in focus, or at least both the nib and the emblem - 7
