Nice light feel to this shot, I like the softness and glowing effect. The desaturated colours add to the effect well. However I thing the pose is a little off, looking towards the camera would have been better for me. A five from me, well done. |

even though (IMO) it's been lightened too much (especially the hair) I really like it. Maybe a touch darker in the hair and thats it? Good shot, and nice feel. |

This image appeals to me, but I would like to see the subject looking the other way since it is for the month of April and I tend to think of spring months as getting ready for what lies ahead. Great hint of pinks/maroons in the skintone of your subject picking up the color of the fabric and the lips. The dappled light through the umbrella also hints of spring since is is muted and not shining with the intensity of summer. Beautiful photo. |

You have a done a wonderful job in editing this; the tones and the glow are beautiful. I personally don't feel this looks like a calendar - the woman's portrait appears more personal to me. |

You have made a nice compositon. I even like the compostion. But. I have also read the title. It's this word 'showers' and the lighting in it that's bothering me. I can associate the image with showers at all. It actually looks to me more like it was taken on a really sunny and beautiful day. That's the idea I get from the patches on the umbrella and the lighting on her. Also, it doesn't at all look like it was taken at a natural surrounding. Correct me if I am wrong, but the word STUDIO is screaming at my face.
As am image, I like it. But what you wanted to represent with the image is what I am not sure about. |

While I do like this alot, it doesn't say April or showers to me. Yes she's holding an umbrella, but it looks to me like like it is quite bright and sunny outside, because of the shadows coming through the umbrella. Nonetheless, a very nice image. I might have cropped it with a little more on the bottom and less on the top, but that's just me. |

Returning for comment.
I think that the only problem with using your photo for a calendar would be that it would be "April" for the rest of the year.
The composition is perfect, the model is lovely and her pose counterpoints the modesty of the dress with a hint of glamour in the eye and lips. High key tones in the skin balance the dark tones in the parasol. I'd love to balance my comments with some"wise" sounding advice, but I simply cant imagine how this could be improved. I wish you success with this wonderful piece ....10 |

I really enjoy the washed out goth feeling of this shot. It fits the challenge. The only complaint I have with this shot is that it has the gothic feel and yet the clothing on the model does not seem to fit the overall style of the photo. I could be way off on what you were trying for. But I like this shot none the less. great job. |

Beautifully composed I especially like the way you`ve used the umbrella as a background. The high contrast look is very effective in my opinion and I could definitely see this as a calendar shot. |
