The angle of those trees build the mood, and then your vagueness-processing lifts it to another level. Thanks.

I'm not a fan of the raise-the-shadows postprocessing here; done subtly it can make thigns look cinematic, but overdone clumsily it does the image no favours.

Your subject centered on the tree works well. Is this breaking a photography rule? The repeating vertical lines of the forest is why it doesn't detract and actually adds interest. Beautiful photograph!

Love the muted colors and depth of the stare and woods.

Nicely processed. I thinking the idea is to make her feel small in her surroundings, but she seems a little too small.

Part of me thinks this is too washed out, but it's so haunting that maybe that adds to the effect. A picture I just can look away from, awesome job!

arresting.

the low contrast works well to undefine the context.

Eerie as hell! I'm quite captivated by it, and the washed-out dark tones. The centered position of the child enhances the sense of oppressiveness. I only wish the green lichens on the right-most trees weren't drawing my eye away.

I don't like images like this. I want images to be clear and well shot.

I certainly don't want the subject to be centered in an image that I don't normally like.

But... there's something about her.

You've captured her... being.

And I am drawn in.

I love it.

Do I want her to be more to the left or the right?

With all of my being I want that.

:)

But, I love her despite the composition.

You've made me love her.
