David lives off of a country road across from a school on the way to my house. I drive this road often and for several years have seen him standing at the end of a long driveway. He waves to cars as people pass buy and they wave to him. I wave also. I have always wanted to stop and talk. This challenge gave me the impetus to take the initiative.
David has lived in the same house his whole life. When his mother passed away he remained. He is retired now. He enjoys waving to the kids in the school buses as they go by. The children wave back. They have brought him cookies and drawn pictures for him. Its wonderful that simple pleasures can bring so much joy! It was a pleasure to finally talk to him.
