What did you mean by "low-level background fill"? Is that adding lights, a camera setting or an editing thing? Thanks. |

| This is one of those difficult shots where to get good light levels on the candle, you end up under-exposing everything else. Or, as is your approach, blowing out the candle (pardon the pun) to adequately light everything else. Might have worked better if you used a low-level background fill to better illuminate the trees so you could bring down the exposure a bit on the candle. |
