a little vignetting and texture can create a remoteness, a strangeness, that adds intrigue to the photo. But too much vignetting and texture does the opposite. It shouts "this is art!" and makes the photo safe, robs us of the opportunity to be disturbed or affronted by this girl and this situation. |
