 Photo taken using Leica Q at a crowded dessert restaurant in Chinatown, SIngapore. I had to crop the image to allow users to focus on the subject. In Lightroom, I first converted the photo B&W. Thereafter I reduced the highlights, increased the shadows and reduced contrast. I also added post-crop vignetting and increased the orange level to brighten the skin tone. Finally, I increased the exposure and added luminance smoothing and colour noise reduction before exporting the image to JPEG.

I was tempted not to reward this image. It is, after all, so obvious. Such an obvious thing. Something so obviously and artlessly there.

But of course that's the hardest thing to do.

So I'll hang this in my fantasy gallery
