Invitational Challenge Level: Experienced

Challenge link: strong. You've understood the brief.

Image critique: attractive composition and pleasant subject. It looks a little washed out in places, but it's a nice approach.

Out-of-challenge appeal: medium - I'd probably look at this once again.

Score: 7

I don't see a Suburban (just kidding - Chevy joke)
Well seen and yet another great take on this challenge.
One of the top 20 in my opinion. ((8))

Nicely simple and one of the few times that level roof lines really would have detracted from a pic, in fact, it lends nicely to the art that may be present in a perspective piece and the watery impressionism filter you chose was just enough.

Very nice colours, however the bottom of the house being cut off doesn't appeal to me. I feel like I'm only seeing a part of a bigger photo.

Neat shimmering quality I like the tree (willow ?) and simple vibrant colors.

I like the effect you have achieved with your picture. It definitely has an impressionistic feel to it.

This fits my idea of the challenge..my only minor niggle is that the image is "cut off" at the bottom..however, if this is a true reflection and not PS..then I know from experience the difficulties you would face in that respect.

I am only commenting and using a place holder score during this pass.
This is very pretty. It's easy to see the photographer thought about the specs and sought out a pleasant place. The light building and light tree contrast well with the water and roof. A pleasure to look at.

Ah! the old "Reflection in the Lake" "Filter", eh?
The trees don't hang vertically, perhaps some kind of transform would have worked here. Good idea, though.

Really great interpretation of the challenge. Great imagination & great execution. The colors, light and motion are really beautiful. Well done!

returning for comments:
Your selection of this uncluttered subject lends itself great to the effect. What is most interesting is that the ripple appears to run horizontal on the house and water and vertical on the tree's foliage. I realize this is only an apparant illusion. Very nice execution. Bumping up.

very nice effort, but unfortunately, it has the feeling of looking at a detail cropped out of a larger image. then again, you can't always control the size of the puddle. nice lighting and colors. balance of composition is off, though.

This looks like the reflection I was trying to find. Very nice final result no matter how it was achieved.

The inverted water reflection is a good idea for this challenge, but the subject matter doesn't really wow me here. 6

Nice, but very questionable composition. Also looks like some of the highlights are busted.
