Tulips were submerged in ice and frozen in stages. Block of ice was extracted, set up in a vertical position using a homemade contraption to hold it securely.

Three images made at 1/4 sec., 1/8 sec., and .5 sec. with f/5.6 aperture, and ISO 200. No flash. Back-lighting was natural light entering a sliding glass door and windows behind the setup.

HDR in PScc, sliders in camera raw filter, Luminosity Mask adjustments made, presharpened in NIK, Unsharpen mask applied. Resized and saved as JPEG.

I love this and the other one in puzzle macro. I hope you have made a whole series of them. They would look great framed and displayed.
