 Exploring the Isle of Skye you can find those yellow/brown sticks on the beaches. Apparently it is part of a certain kind of seaweed (laminaria) and when you have a quick look at it, it almost looks like (human) bones. That's why I got the idea of the killing fields. So I added somw skeletons of sheep and some human skulls (fake).

A bit of restraint would add so much to the feel: i find the skull unnecessary or at least not place it as in a still lfe
