 Adjusted brightness, contrast, lighting, and shadow from RAW file. Burn, clones, and smudge was used to clean up reflections. Image was cropped. Increased contrast of hair to remove lighting glare lines.

This is by far my best picture. Technically I think I met a lot of my personal challenges of not using too much contrast, and keeping the reflections of the bathroom light off the glossy paper.

I recieved some of my lowest scores in this challenge too. I assume some of it is due to the content, but if there are other reasons please let me know.

I think there are quite a few that disagreed to the applicability of Hugh Hefner to the theme of Hero: (definition) A person noted for special achievement in a particular field: the heroes of medicine. In this sense of the definition I think this picture is applicable. Although, it really doesn't compare with the pictures of war veterans, which deservedly placed much better.

While I can't say I agree with your choice of a "hero" this shot made me laugh so hard I'm giving it a (9). Excellent composition - both well planned and executed. The location of the magazines in the bathroom was the final winning touch!

Too funny! I would have adjusted the contrast or white balance a little. Otherwise good presentation, focus.

mr hefner is a hero? i read playboy on a regular basis, and there is nothing wrong with that, but i don't think he's a hero, more of a successful marketing guy or an etrepreneur or something.
