 Got up early to walk around Beaufort, South Carolina where we were vacationing and do some early morning photography. I was headed back to the Inn. I saw this woman alone crossing the street and instantly took the picture. What a lucky shot I love the solemn look on her face and how she has her hands crossed. Can't imagine what she was thinking.

pretty much what postie said. it is the subject and the light, and a certain play between the two: is she emerging or is she held?
