A shot of my Fender strat. I totally misunderstood the topic on this one, but i changed the title, and submitted the shot anyway. We'll see what happens.

FIRST IMPRESSION: Great shot, well lit. Not sure what the $20 and pen are for. Good choice of subject

CHALLENGE: Meets the challenge.

COMPOSITION: The composition is excellent. I love the "line" of the left side of the guitar against the left edge of the frame.

TECHNICAL: Black and white was a very good choice for this shot. Lighting and exposure are nearly flawless. My only complaint is the hot spot on the front of the guitar.

CONCLUSION: Great shot. It's a shame you hadn't understood the challenge before you shot this, as without the pen and money it would probably have done even better.

Thanks for sharing and good luck in future challenges!

I don't think that the pen and note and pick add anything to the shot.

Excellent! I love the perspective you took. The clarity is perfection. Don't know why there's a pen on your guitar, it doesn't make sense to me, unless it's there to sign autographs of your adoring fans.

I really like this picture being done in black and white. The lighting you used also helps create intrest in the picture. Nice work

You know... I've got the same guitar, only gloss black with rosewood fret board. I'm going to have to make a great looking guitar picture like this one. :) I think you should have made the white a little whiter tho.

I really like this photo - my brother would love it (being a guitarist). Perspective and framing are wonderful. I think the money, pen and pick detract from it slightly though - I would have kept the guitar on it's own. It's a really nice picture overall - definitely worthy of printing.

Wonderful composition. Focus is perfect and your b&w choice is splendid. The border is just right. Can´t see what can be done better. Good luck!

Composition: Good. Top-right looks slightly blank, although this is offset by bottom-left.
Technical: Excellent focus. Looks slightly over-sharpened, particularly around the part the strings are connected to and the scratch plate (?). Good use of B&W I think. Border seems a little thin on my screen.
Meets challenge: Bit iffy. :-)
Overall impression: Good pic. 7

Nice shot, don't think the pen and money are needed though. Still love the tone. (no pun intended)
