Challenge: Macro Without Bugs or Flowers (Basic Editing I)
Camera: Canon EOS-300D Rebel
Location: Rio Rancho, New Mexico
Date: Nov 6, 2004
Aperture: f2.8
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/8sec
Galleries: Abstract, Macro
Date Uploaded: Nov 9, 2004

this piece of acrylic was fractured while separating a layer of fused resin. It has an interesting other-worldly feel to me. I side lighted it with a tungsten lamp, to bring out the depth. Had to use wide aperture to limit dof due to the fact that I was shooting through 3/8in acrylic which had some surface abrasions. Curves, cropping.

I don't know what this is, I don't know where's the top, I can' even find out what'S in the front and what's in the back. This completely confuses me. And that's exactly what makes this shot so great.

I don't know what I'm looking at, but I like it. Pretty good focus for such a difficult texture.

This is a cool shot. Adding more contrast to have brighter highlights would make it better in my opinion.

Intriguing abstract. I could gaze for a long time. I fear that most voters will breeze past due to the gihugent number of entries. Good luck!
