while i can relate to the sentiment, i don't like the end result. maybe if shot without the flash? this kinda bears out "the whole is greater than the sum of the parts."

you met the challenge so I gave a 6.. but it's a bit grainy for my tastes and must too close.

The iris seems out of focus, while the blood vessels on the left are in sharp focus. I would like it more if these focus areas were switched.

Too fleshy to be attractive. The light must have been quite bright. Oh, and get some sleep man!!

Yikes! That is eerie looking! But a great macro shot! Good job!

very much the close up, or macro, but very little, if any, of this shot is in focus

The blown out highlight is a bit distracting and it seems to also be the only thing in focus, which is a shame.

Whoha, too much coffee? Anyway, the bloody veins (and I mean this litterally) really put me off this shot, good effort but this shot is just plain unflattering IMO, no offense intended...

Arresting image. I wonder if it would have been stronger if the pupil was more in focus than the lid. The vein detail on the inner eye is lost with your lighting choice. Eye shots can be tricky, good effort.

Too blurry and veiny.

Oh so close on the focus... your off by less than 2mm. 4
