Seriously?? You people are crazy. This isn't art. This isn't even very good seagull photos (well, I like them, but I've had some really cool ones over the years. These are just nice.) But I wanted to try something, so I worked with what I had.
And with what I like.
I like high key, although I don't play with it as much as I should.
One of my favorite photos that I took was of a seagull on the beach, where the white part of the seagull disappeared into the background. When I put three seagull photos together, I really liked when parts were disappearing.
I couldn't make up my mind if I liked the head on the right. I kept cropping. Something's not quite right with it, yet it needed something on the right.
I like what the overlay did -- but it's just an overlay!
People create such beautiful art here. I'm floored and flattered this received 6 comments, but it really isn't art, folks. I don't do art. But sometimes I stumble upon it.
But thanks for the comments!
Post challenge: I'm even more surprised. Very grateful, but I still need to figure out art. Look at MaryAnn's. Now that's really creative. |

I totally understand your sentiments about the "art" thing... but this just goes to show that a talented photographer can cross the line of their comfort zone and excel! GREAT JOB! And congratulations! |

I don't care what you think, this is art to me ;) I like that one has eye open and the other closed. Great job.

Looks like an artist's sketchbook or a palimpsest, or even ancient cave art. Invites the viewer in to resolve an unspoken mystery. The background, like pencil shading, is effectively utilized. Entirely enjoyable. A co-favorite in the challenge. |

Yet they are all stuck in that spiderweb, awaiting certain death. :P :) |
