 This is Dolce. She was Bev's dog. Bev got very sick at the end of January and was taken to the hospital. While there Bev was home and able to take care of her. Unfortunately, Bev was not able to recover the strength she would have needed in order to survive either of two major operations. She made the decision to go to hospice until she passed on which she did 4 days after her transfer.
I never had a dog. I wish I had and now cannot think of what I would do without one. We have a pact, Dolce and I. She has to stay around until I go because... Well just because.

A seemingly simple image that's nicely composed and balanced, which strikes a chord with all dog owners. The eagerness of the dog and the tautness of the leash provokes a big smile. Curiously, the shadow resembles a cat. I also like the colors, patterns and textures. Nice.

very well spotted, the various structure on the ground, the overly with the fence shadow, broken by the diagonal leash lading to the main subject. It's like Elliott Erwitt meets William Eggleston. Great Picture.
