I only wasted two eggs and one piece of poster board doing this!! This shot was difficult for me as I had to use my self timer, as my "model" had gone to bed for the night!

CC: Great example of catching the motion of the egg white dropping into the bowl. I love how you have used black as your primary background colour with the white bowl. It really stands out. The yellow from the egg of course adds a nice colourful touch. I also like how you have added the two eggs beside the bowl, using the whole frame instead of leaving it black in that area. The composition of your photo is excellent, by the way you have placed the eggs, bowl and hand all in one. The lighting is also crisp, light and clear and is easily seen. Just a little flaw is the shadow which takes your eye straight to it, but with a little moving of light and perhaps even another light may take away the shadow, however it's just a small thing. I think the way the hand holds the egg looks like it's been cracked like a true non professional chef, which is a good thing because it's all natural and hey who can crack an egg like a pro (not me). Anyway overall a top shot, keep up the fantastic work and I look forward to seeing more of your photo's in the near future. PS: Hope your not a chef (didn't mean to offend if you are)

Everything is right on except for the shdow, but I know you've already read that a lot. I really do like it though

The photo is very nicely lit and exposed and the composition is effective. Looks like you used noise removal? The skin on the hand looks kind of odd. On theme and well photographed, but not a photo that grabs me.

Gorgeous black background which contrasts very nicely with the eggs. I find the way the egg is being held unnatural. I would like to see the two hands splitting the egg, or one hand like the chefs do. Still a neat shot. Good luck. Jacko. 7

THe hand shadows are too overpowering. Light source needs to be moved. - Inspzil

great shot...would liked to have seen a little less shadow over the bowl...good job, though!
