This photo was made after a short heavy snowstorm that covered both the road and one side of all the trees next to it with a thin layer snow.

The tree in front is the main subject, but I tried to use perspective to drag the viewers attention to the scenery behind the tree. The effect is best seen when the photo is viewed from a somewhat longer distance.

I find nothing wrong with the angle or the cropping of your picture. Perhaps to much sharpening, but even then it makes for a very unique image. I especially like the two different perspectives, the tighter one of the left trees and the more spread out perspective of the right hand trees. The lines created by all the branches keeps the eye moving and the mind ingaged. Definitely a much higher quality picture than the score you received. Keep up the great work. John Gill

Thanks for the comments.
I hardly did any post-processing except lowering the saturation.
And I only used the unsharp mask very slightly to get rid of the unsharpness caused by resizing.

The scene looked like a skecth in reality, that's called nature, not overprocessing :)

looks over processed

Takes some time, but this is a good subject. Maybe crop the top, it's so busy and take so much of the space - takes long time to find the perspective lines.

I love the high contrast in this, and the twigs and branches all interlace into an amazing sense of texture. I'm giving this 10! I love it.

you have an intresting shot. maybe if you had stepped to the right just a bit. also it hs very strangely contrasted, very distracting. A little over processed in post.
the focus of it seems to be on the first tree, might have worked better if there were a better vanishing point...
better than some, not as good as others...
not a bad concept..

Neat row of trees. Contrasts are pretty good, but the tangle of branches takes away some of the clarity that strong contrast usually offers. 7 Swash

Too oversharpened for me. Looks like you tried to get it to look like a sketch, which you almost accomplished, but not quite. Others will think it is great. Just not personally appealing to me.

Beautiful, I like your photo, meets the challenge and the black and white is wonderful. Congrats.
