There`s nothing like dark shadow for giving shape & delineation to areas of an image and you use that to perfection here Julia.
I never voted in this challenge but would have rated this very highly.

| Very crisp and great lighting on the child. Maybe a bit of light reflected back on to the father to just fill in that huge black area would be nice but overall a good shot. |

| It's an excellent B&W. I love the expressions in this one. You have captured it beautifully with excellent control of light, composition. The conversion to B&W is superb too. Wonderful job. |
